Our Lack Of Confidence Sabotages Our Thinking

Many of us go to the polls with our head empty of knowledge of what is good for our economy to work. If we ask people that vote, how would you fix the economy? I am pretty sure many people will give you many answers but it will be usually talking points instead of a holistic answer or an answer that shows some dominion of the subject. Some people just had this creed: “I am for the democrats because they are for the poor and the republicans are for the rich”. This is a talking point used by many to make them feel confident about a subject they don’t know a thing about it.

People that use a lot of talking point know their lack of knowledge on any particular subject but to sweep the embarrassment of the moment they use them thinking they said something smart.  Instead of accepting their lack of knowledge and take the initiative to learn for example how the economy works, they don’t do it because deep inside them they think they don’t have what it takes to learn that. That lack of confidence blocks our thinking ability to figure out how the economy works and we continue trusting that somehow our chosen candidates will figure it out for us.

When we do this type of election in where we don’t know a thing but choose candidates to fix the economy, we are gambling. That is the reason why our new president is playing games with us because he knows we don’t know and we are depending on his leadership. We shouldn’t go empty headed to the pools to elect our leaders if we don’t know what we want first. We should start by having some confidence that we can learn how the economy works and start doing our homework.

The first lesson is history. Do we know how we got to be the most successful nation on the earth while other nations around were failing? Are we applying the same principles learned in which brought so much success to this nation? Why are we not looking into that and repeat the same success? Don’t we trust ourselves anymore and we are letting the media and politicians hungry for power dictate to us what is best for the economy even though you don’t see any result? You bet we are!

Yes you can learn how the economy works. Yes, you can. Let us learn first and gain real knowledge and then elect. Let us stop gambling with the future of this nation. Let us review history and stop being manipulated by politicians hungry for power or ideologies grounded in frustrations and anger. Let us find the truth and courageously walk on it. Remember: …And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you (us) free”. But if we don’t know the truth, the truth shall make us miserable.

Over Taxing And Over Regulating The Rich Is Contraproducent

Taxing the rich more and more like it has being suggested works like a boomerang on us. Most of us don't own businesses or corporations. However, they employ us. We depend on them. So, why is it that we listen to and believe the propaganda that tax breaks for the rich is wrong? All the media and politicians want to do with this propaganda is is making you focus on the tax part of the equation to magnify it out of proportion and make us ignore the other and most important part of it all, the debt and the out of control expenses we are constantly getting into so the politicians continue to be elected and re-elected for their own benefit.

We most reject the way we are constantly hypnotized by the media and politicians. We have to constantly take the information we hear and spend some time separating the facts from the lies. We hear the news and we swallow it without even spending some time breaking it down to understand it. Information is like the food we eat. If we don't spend time chewing and just swallow the food, it will eventually produce malnourishment, which will translate eventually in sicknesses and diseases. In other words, our mind will be full of wrong information, which will make us intellectually ill or ignorant.

Thinking hard will hurt our mind as making physical exercise will hurt our muscles but new muscles will grow up so we can handle stronger activities; the same with not being afraid trying to understand more complex issues. We most have confident that we can learn and don't allow others to give us raw information mixed with emotions and feelings so we can swallow it without thinking rationally.

Again, overtaxing and over regulating the rich is going to come back to hurt the poor and the middle class. Rich people who inherit wealth do not pay taxes. Most rich people are those who owns businesses and corporations and who employ millions of Americans. The more we hurt them, the more they will outsource their businesses. They will continue moving to Mexico, India and all over the world in order to make better profits so they can compete by expanding their businesses and hiring more people.

What is Money?

I am going to give you my knowledge of what money represents. You most understand it and do not write it down trying to memorize it as a formula. Money is effort. Money is the amount of effort you make to create or to acquire something already created in order to exchange it for something you consider to be more valuable to you. Let us start supposing you live in a free country like America. In America you can own things like your hair and you can decide to cut your hair or not. If someone wants part of your hair to make a wig then there is a possible willingness for someone to spend effort to create something valuable or just to help others creating values in exchange for something more valuable to you. We can call it wages or salary but they just represent units of effort. The amount of effort you are willing to do for the wig depends on how valuable is for you the wig.

As the person interested in your hair comes to you and makes an offer you then will decide what is acceptable as a gain and the other person decide how much effort she or he is willing to make for the hair. As the transaction is completed and each part is satisfied we can call this capitalism.

But let us take this a little deeper. In order for you to have hair that you can call your own hair needs to grow in your head. If you stop eating and drinking your hair and everything else in your body will stop eventually and you die. So you need to use some effort and energy given to you by your parents as they feed you. In order for them to feed you they had to also spend effort or the representation of it, which is money to feed you. The hair you have cost money. Somebody else, out of love, fed you using his or her or both units of energy and effort.

Now inside your body you have ATP’s (adenosine Tri-Phosphate) ATP’s are units of energy chemically speaking. Without them you can’t even breathe. They are units of power. Our Creator gave them to us originally. Food is the only source that can continually give us more of it. But in order to get some more of that valuable stuff you need to spend (invest) some ATP’s to get more of it. Food is not going to fly to your mouth open it and move your teeth and then move your muscles to swallow it. You have to first find the food that is a value to keep you alive and mostly everybody wants to live. Then you cook it to eat it or just eat it raw. When you hear that nothing is free it is a true statement, if you don’t pay for something with value, somebody else will have to do it in order for you to have it.

There are two ways or systems to create values in a society. There is the system of slavery in which people are not allowed to have any rights except the rights government gives you but because government gives it to you, they can take it away from you to their own pleasure. This system is authoritarian like communism, monarchism and all the rest collective systems. Republicanism is based on free market capitalism and individuals’ rights, in which the rights an individual has comes from God. Government is God’s creation but operated by men in order to protect those rights given to men by God.

In a collective system you are forced to create values but those values are distributed equally, at least the leadership of those type of government think they do that. In a capitalism where individual rights are a requirement, people use the gifts and talents given to them by God and mixed with effort and wisdom to create wealth and then decide what to do with that wealth. Freedom allows you to decide what you would do with the values you create and earns.

There are people that feel they are losers. They prefer government to force them and others into creating values in order for them to have something. In a capitalistic system there are many motivations to create wealth and to come up with many ideas to create values. When you are forced to create values, ideas become scarce. That is why communist countries (collective systems) technology is copied from capitalistic countries. Almost all the good inventions comes from America.
